19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his maiden championship for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has experienced a challenging season, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in especial - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-term coach his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought three-set win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's first trophy following the Rome competition and first on a hard surface after spring of that year.
Victory also means Medvedev has won 21 victories at twenty-one various events.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my children together, so to get a trophy is particularly special," stated ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's counter-punching strategy and frequent reactions on the tennis court had led observers to question if his ability to compete at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the player has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and perform assertively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players exchanged break points in the following set before Moutet, striving for his maiden ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to create a decider.
He saved four initial opportunities in a tight deciding set before the Russian broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, the winner earned the title with a rally at the net area, with his opponent unable to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
